Rings Rings and Other Creative Things!
I’ve been making some rings these days…that is, out of pipe cleaners. Inspired by days off due to snow, and daytime television viewings of Martha Stewart, I learned how to make lovely, chunky flower rings from the Pipe Cleaner Lady’s appearance on Martha’s show. I’ve branched off of her idea for a few ideas of my own. Here is my latest, Hope for Haiti ring. I’m wondering if people would be interested in purchasing them as a fundraiser for Haiti, maybe $2 or $3 dollars a pop! What do you think? Of course, I want to add some gold rings and adapt them for supporting Team USA in the Winter Olympics!

Happy Wonderful New Year, New Decade!
I am more than pleased to welcome in this new year, and new decade! I know it’s going to be a great one!
I had a wonderful opportunity to visit a fabulously cute knitting store over the holidays, thanks to one of my best friends from high school, Joan (thanks Joanie!). It’s called, “Nancy O” and it’s in Ridgefield, CT. Check it out if you can — I loved the look and feel of the store and the staff were nice and friendly, leaving out cookies and clementines for customers! What nice treats! If I had a knitting store, it’d be something like this one!
Wishing you all peace, love, hope, health and prosperity in the new year!

World AIDS Day
As many of you know, I have been working in the HIV/AIDS field since the 1990s. Having seen children with HIV, and the devastation that this disease has caused in communities, it’s not something that I can easily let go of. I made these little ribbons for some friends at work to wear tomorrow during our World AIDS Day activities. I was reading online today an article about AIDS ribbons and how they were no longer considered “fashionable”. Wouldn’t it be nice if HIV and AIDS were no longer considered fashionable?
Here are some good sites to check out!
God bless.

I am so happy to have a finished project! Yippee-skippy!
I’m excited to take on more of these adorable little knits. Hopefully the next one will be a cable knit!
Until next time, happiness to you!

Almost Done!
So I’m almost done knitting my mini-Christmas ornament. This pattern is free from Berroco’s Minutia 2008 collection of so cute mini sweater ornaments! Just finishing up the turtleneck part now…hope to finish it up this weekend, and already have the cutest little white metal hanger to hang it on!
Here’s hoping your holidays are getting off just fine!
Cheers!

Happy Thanksgiving!
In the midst of feasting and ‘family/friending’, I’m hoping to get some knitting and crocheting done while here in New York at my mom’s…wish me luck! I’m also thinking of checking out the Cornwall Yarn Shop Ltd. Will keep you posted!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Peace and love.
